Rothesay Bay is a rock free beach, and is great for swimming and enjoying barbecues on the reserve behind, where there is a playground for children and a small toilet block. There are a number of walkways down to the beach from Churchill Road for local residents or access and parking at the end of Rothesay Bay Road. Rothesay Bay has a small group of shops on Beach Road which includes some great restaurants for dining, ranging from Thai to Gourmet pizzas.

Murrays Bay is home to its own sailing club. The beach is a great family beach with a small toilet block, and a wharf where locals often fish and jump off at the northern end of the beach. A walkway also at the northern end of the beach leads up along the clifftop with spectacular views of the coastline.
